Linda (Putzier) Heisey, 83, of Dublin, Ohio passed away on 11/21/2022. Linda Heisey was born on April 15, 1939, to Edward and Beatrice Putzier of Avon Lake, Ohio. She was a graduate of Avon Lake High School. She attended Ohio University as an adult and graduated from Eckard College in Dunedin, Florida in 1991. She married Ernest Galajda in 1959 and had 3 children: Adrienne, Laurel and Paul; 3 granddaughters: Holly, Emily, and Kelsey, and 2 grandsons: Jonathan and Jacob and 6 great grandchildren: Isaac, Zeke, Stella, Macy, Logan, and Colin. Linda was active in her church serving as a Sunday school teacher, choir member and various guilds while a member at Bethany Lutheran church, about the most rewarding work was serving as a layperson through the Stephen Ministry foundation as a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Linda taught piano until her children were older, then joined the work force, where she worked for Cardinal Industries, McDonald Douglas, City of Dunedin in Florida. After her return to Columbus, she worked at Nationwide Insurance, where she was a regional chairperson for the Columbus chapter of ITC, International Training in Communication. This was one of her special gifts to others, the command of the English language, and her love for a spirited debate. She loved to travel and her fondest adventures were of Ireland and Italy.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Beatrice Putzier and her brother, Lowell, as well as her beloved cats, Jennyanydots, Teaser, and Skimbleshanks.
Linda loved the Christmas season and made it magical for all those around her through her baking, tree trimming, and music. She will forever be in our hearts and live through the memories she created and traditions she instilled.
Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Dublin where a memorial service will be held on Monday, November 28 at 3pm, all are welcome at 2:30pm.
