Jayne Mayhill

Jayne A. Mayhill of Hilliard, Ohio formally of Lafayette, Indiana died peacefully with her family by her side on September 18, 2022 at Norwich Springs Health Campus. Born January 25, 1938, in Logansport, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Chester and Mabel Kennell. Jayne graduated from Logansport High School in 1956. She loved her family dearly and would support and defend them, whatever it took. She was an executive secretary for Landis & Gyr in Lafayette. After retirement she worked part time at Bennett Greenhouse which she enjoyed. She enjoyed her flower gardening and reading. She was a member of the Upper Arlington Lutheran Church. Jayne was married to her husband, Robert for nearly 64 years. She is survived by her sons Rod A. (Liz Ann) of Hilliard, Ohio, Michael R. (Sherri) of Vandalia, OH, and daughter Stephanie (Scott) Harrison of Greentown, PA. Also surviving are grandchildren Nathan (Callie) Mayhill, Nicholas (Jill) Mayhill, Kaylee Mayhill, Christopher (Kendall) Mayhill, Katie (Brandon Dosch) Mayhill, Ashley, Jenny, James, and John Harrison, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, brother Larry Kennell and sister Marcelyn Hinkle. A private family service will be held in October. Known to her great grandchildren as Gigi, in lieu of flowers, she would like contributions to be made to their college or vocational educations, c/o R.A.
