Janette Lynn (Davis) Vanover, 66, of Dublin, Ohio passed away on December 23, 2022 after a long, courageous battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on May 2, 1956 in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
Jan attended Bay Village High School graduating in the class of 1974. After graduating from high school she attended Dyke College. During her time in Columbus, Jan was a valued employee at Red Roof Inn corporate; Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease LLP; and Development Specialists, Inc.
A friend to many, Jan was known and loved for her fun and outgoing personality as well as her warm, inviting smile. She was an avid cook and had an affinity for shopping and traveling, enjoyed golfing and being active, and loved to attend concerts and shows. Jan was a lifelong animal lover and greatly cherished her many pets. She will be dearly missed by all of those who had the honor of knowing her.
Jan is preceeded in death by her mother Dorothy “Dot” Davis and father Herbert “Herb” Davis Jr. She is survived by her husband Richard “Rick” Vanover; daughters Rachel E., Erica L., and step-daughter Kelli N. Vanover; siblings Patricia Davis of Redding, California, Robert (Diana) Davis of Hayward, California, Gary (Carol Ann) Davis of Dallas, Texas, and William (Connie) Davis of Westlake, Ohio. Jan will also be missed by her six nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2022 from 12-4pm at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN; 5980 Perimeter Drive Dublin, Ohio 43017. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are requested and can be made at act.alz.org/goto/JanVanover.
