Dr. Gopal “Paul” Reddy

Dr. Gopal “Paul” Reddy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He died from cancer, at the age of 83. He was born in July 1940 in Karnataka, India. He attended Bangalore Medical College and immigrated to the United States in 1975. He moved to Lima, Ohio, in 1978 and worked as a pediatrician for nearly 40 years. He was a proud member of the Lima community and loved playing tennis and golf in his free time, when he was not devoting himself to his patients, or to his family. He enjoyed fitness, and spending his winter months in Naples, Florida, in recent years. He was known for his kind, warm and upbeat spirit. Breakfast at Bob Evans with his buddies was one of his favorite activities. He enjoyed international travel and visited many beautiful parts of the world with his wife Prabha, his lifelong partner, who he had been married to for nearly 52 years. He moved to New Albany, Ohio, in 2022 to spend more time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Prabha, his children Polly, Deepa and Vivek, and his five grandchildren–Kathan, Nikhil, Dillan, Elina and Evan. He touched many lives and helped countless families. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him. Private funeral services will be held at Schoedinger in Dublin, Ohio.
