Frances Radine Eastham passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the age of 88 with her son and daughter by her side in Dublin, Ohio. Radine was born in Jamestown, Kentucky on January 4, 1935 to Cyrus and Eunice Grider, who also had a second child, Charles Roy Grider. All of whom lived their entire lives in Jamestown, KY and predeceased Radine. Her husband of 60 years, Cloyd Douglas Eastham, who proudly served our Country, also predeceased Radine. Cloyd and Radine raised their family in Enon, OH.
She was a kind, gentle, soft-spoken, polite, caring, thoughtful person that warmed up just about any room she entered. Radine spent nearly three decades working in the cosmetic department at Shillito Rikes/Lazarus/Macy’s and loved making people look and smell their best! Radine was always happy and made sure that everyone around her felt like they were the most important person in the room. She was known for having her famous warm chocolate chip cookies hot out of the oven upon your arrival to their home. The world was a better place when Radine was around. During Radine and Cloyd’s retirement years, they travelled extensively around the eastern United States often times travelling from city to city to take pictures, site-see, or to just meet folks at local restaurants and get to know the community.
Radine leaves a legacy of close family members behind including her son Kerry Douglas Eastham (Fairborn, Ohio), Kathie (Paul) Ghidotti (Dublin, Ohio) and three grandchildren who adored their “Grammy,” Will Ghidotti (Dublin, Ohio), Lauren Ghidotti (Paris, France) and Claire Ghidotti (Dublin, Ohio).
A special thanks to the wonderful staff at Dublin Retirement Village/Senior Star, Right at Home, and Capital City Hospice for providing amazing care and compassion to Radine over the few years. A private graveside burial will be held at the Camp Nelson Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY where Radine will be buried alongside Cloyd.
