Elaine Marie Pati

Elaine Pati, 81, passed away peacefully in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by her family, on March 5, 2023. Elaine was born in Ontario, Canada on March 21, 1941. She was raised in Detroit, Michigan where she attended high school before moving to Columbus in 1958. Elaine was married to her husband of 61 years, Ed, on December 26, 1959. After beginning their life as a married couple in Columbus, they were active Worthington residents for over thirty years before moving to Dublin to be closer to family. She was a devoted mother and was very proud of her children and their families. Always a free spirit, Elaine enjoyed painting, listening to music, and watching films until late into the night. She was a lifelong dog lover who was particularly partial to her beloved Yorkshire Terriers. Elaine was a member of the Worthington Women’s Club and a volunteer for TWIG charities for many years. One of her great joys was participating in her bowling league with friends and eventually her daughter. She was extremely outgoing and social, yet fiercely independent. Elaine will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived life on her own terms. She will be dearly missed. Survived by daughter, Kim (John) Curry; son, Michael (Suemee) Pati; sister, Denise Schrieber; grandchildren, Jennifer (Drew), Kaitlyn, Mackenzie, and Sarah; great grandchildren, Madeleine, Michael, and Summer. Preceded in death by husband Edward Pati, parents Clarence and Keitha Schrieber, sisters Sharyn and Vicki. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9 at 10AM-12PM at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017, where services will be held Thursday, March 9 at 12PM. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH 43035.
