She was a graduate of Dublin Coffman High School and after high school received her Associate Degree from Columbus State and her Bachelor of Nursing from Ohio University. Carrie also received her TNCC Certification. She spent her career serving others in the line of nursing working at St. Ann’s Hospital in the Emergency Room and Riverside Hospital in the Emergency Room. For the past 13 years she worked for the Ohio Health Transfer Center, the last 6 years as Clinical Lead. Proud and passionate of her nursing career, she was often viewed as a valued mentor.
Carrie loved going to concerts with her family including but not limited to The Eagles and Nine Inch Nails. She loved the Cleveland Browns, North Carolina Tar Heels, Columbus Blue Jackets, Marshall Thundering Herd and Ohio State Buckeyes. She spent most of her free time reading and sharing books with family and friends. She loved Halloween and Christmas. She would decorate the house for both, making many of her own decorations. Her love of finding great Christmas gifts meant year-long shopping.
Carrie is survived by her beloved husband Scott Grigsby; children Sawyer and Cullen and fur-children Emmet, Erinn, and Edgar; and her parents Cindy (Doug) Manring and Larry (Sue) Robinson and grand-puppy Eva. Her memory is also remembered by her brother Jesse (Rebecca); nephews Dylan and Tyler, mother-in-law Marge Grigsby and sister-in-law Margaret Grigsby and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Ohio Health family. She is preceded in death by her sister Jennie.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation being held immediately following from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
