She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Jo VanOtterloo (preceded in death by her husband, Harold VanOtterloo), Judy Jungerius and her husband, Gerald, and sister-in-law, Judy Wobbema. Preceded in death by brothers, Bruce Wobbema, Preston Wobbema (and his wife, Aleene), and Bill Wobbema. Carolyn was a psychiatric nurse for many years, caring for those with mental health needs, and later in her career served as a geriatric nurse, showing the love of Christ for patients who lived in assisted care facilities. She had a special place in her heart for those that were associated with the holocaust and loved listening to their life stories. Carolyn was an active member of the Olentangy Christian Reformed Church where she chaired the Fellowship Committee for many years. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN, 5980 Perimeter Dr. Dublin, OH 43017 followed by a catered reception from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. where family will receive guests.
