Benjamin Heath Kyler

Ben was born on December 3, 1974, to Dr. Richard and Mary Kyler in Columbus, Ohio. Ben was a Buckeye through and through. He was born at the OSU Wexner Medical Center and attended The Ohio State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Ecology. He went on to become a financial advisor, a career which brought him satisfaction and fulfillment throughout his life. Ben also found immense joy in helping others around him. He was dedicated to CCYHA Blue Jackets Special Hockey program where he coached for the last twelve years and served on the organization’s Executive Board. He also coached youth hockey for several years with CAHA. Ben loved to cook, bake bread, draw, fish, golf, watch his beloved Buckeye football and Formula One, cheer on the Columbus Blue Jackets, play in the Columbus adult hockey league, and spend time at the family cabin.

Ben is preceded in death by his father, Richard. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Tracey; son Jackson and stepson Joshua Smith; his mother, Mary; his brother, Nathaniel (Kelsy) Kyler; his cherished nephew and niece, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends he made along the way.

A memorial service will be held for Ben on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 10:00AM at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, OH 43017. In true Ben fashion, his wish was for everyone to wear OSU shirts and jeans.
