Ann Teresa Bennett, age 62, of Dublin, Ohio passed away on July 3, 2022. She was born in Lebanon, Indiana to the late Kenneth and Winifred Pushor on October 11, 1959. Ann attended Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated in the class of 1977. Following high school graduation she attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana graduating in 1981. Originally majoring in industrial engineering Ann was a math genius but changed paths and graduated with a degree in English. Through the course of her career she did what she loved, cooking. Her cooking was a combination of German and American that was passed down in her family through generations. She worked as a restaurant manager for many years as well as the head cook at Grizzwell Middle School in the Dublin School District. When Ann was not cooking for friends, family and so many others she was volunteering her time at Dublin Community Church. Ann was instrumental in the formation of the “Un Trip” which was through the youth group and allowed youth to volunteer and help out within the community. At Dublin Community Church she was also part of the Choir, Vacation Bible School, Pastoral Care as well as cooking and preparing meals for church members in need. Ann was known especially for her kindness to others and this was displayed in all the volunteer work she was part of throughout the years. Ann loved traveling to Europe especially to Germany and Rome. When not traveling outside of the country she enjoyed family vacations to the lake and other special destinations.
Ann will be deeply missed by her husband Jeff; daughter Hannah; and beagles Bonnie (named after her aunts childhood dog Clyde) and Opal (named after her October birth stone). Ann is survived by her brothers Stephen Pushor of Alexandria, Virginia and Patrick Pushor of West Lafayette, Indiana; aunt Phyllis Meyer of Williamsburg, Virginia, uncle Jack MacGibbon of Indianapolis, Indiana, aunt Jean Athmann of Woods Cross, Utah; and uncle Lawrence Pushor of Tallahassee, Florida; and nieces Emily Altier and Erica Pushor. She is also survived by her beloved caregiver of the past two years Brittany Lockhart.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 16th at 3pm at Dublin Community Church; 81 W Bridge Street, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
