Robert D. Bochert Sr.

He was born on January 31, 1948 the son of the late Fredrick and Agnes (Cyphert) Bochert. On July 6, 1968 he married Linda Lines Lutz. He graduated from DuBois Area High School in 1965.

Bob retired from Brockway Glass after 34 years of service. He coached the Gateway Midget Football League where he was awarded Man of the Year and also coached the DuBois Youth Girls Softball League for 10 years.

He was a member of the DuBois Volunteer Fire Dept. Goodwill Hose Company #5, DOAA and Sykesville Senior Center. Bob was an avid Steeler and Pirates fan. He enjoyed coaching, fishing, bingo and baseball. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his pet cat Popeye.

Bob is survived by his three children: Stacy and her husband Leo Pernesky Jr., Stephanie Bochert and Robert D. Bochert Jr. all of DuBois; four grandchildren: Cassidy Lynne, Brody Michael, Shad Thomas and Peyton Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. with Rev. Kelley Schanely officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm on Tuesday, July 1 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Wednesday 10:00am until the hour of service.
