Robert Jose Barragan Ceja was born on April 8, 1947 in Calexico, CA to his parents Robert Jose Ceja and Maria Soledad Barragan. Robert was a husband to Laura, his partner of 40 years who he loved to travel with around the world and shared an everlasting love. Robert was a father to a son Mario and two daughters Eliana and Jessica. His children could always count on him for his wisdom and belief that they could accomplish anything in this world. He was a grandfather to Jasmine, Steven, Jackie, Chris, Jaylen, Brandon, Max, Jesse, Zoe, and Roman who thought the world of him and were always entertained by his silly personality. He extended his silly and fun self to his great-grandchildren Sophia and Emilia. He was the eldest brother to his siblings Javier, Rafael, Noemi, Gloria, and Norman who he grew up with in Mexicali.
Robert Jose Ceja was the type of person that would give the shirt off his back and would never judge anyone. When talking to him, it was as if you were the only person in the room and always knew the right things to say. He was encouraging of your dreams no matter how big or small. Nothing was impossible to him and had always had an entrepreneurial mentality. There were numerous projects he would work on but his last being his book The Art of Losing Weight: The Igen Process, A Survival Skill for the 21st Century. He was a globetrotter and loved to travel with his wife Laura and enjoyed his Europe trip to Spain, Paris, Milan, and Italy. Robert was also known for his classic motorhome trips with his family and any friends would always be welcomed to join. He was known for eating his pumpkin seeds and driving through out the night while popping in his favorite tapes with his favorite music.
Robert has left a legacy behind of wisdom, unconditional love, and pride of his family. He will be truly missed and remembered forever.
In lieu of flowers, the Ceja family would prefer living plants or donations for a cause of your choosing to be made in his name.
