April 20, 2011 at her home. Her son J. Robin Powell and grandson Bruce Weiss were by her side.
She was born on January 23, 1916 in Butte, Montana and was a daughter of Austrian parents, John and Mary Zupan. Her family of ten brothers and sisters were raised in Centerville, Montana. A love of basketball introduced her to Paul B. Powell, her Centerville High School principal, coach and future husband. Olga Graduated from Centerville High in 1935.
With her husband and two of her eventual three children she moved to California to pursue an acting career. She eventually settled in Downey where she continued her work in theater participating in numerous stage appearances as well as Playhouse 90 on TV. Later in life she became a real estate agent working for several local agencies while also raising her three children. She was a long time member of the Downey United First Methodist Church.
Olga loved family and friends, laughter and life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by three children, Alban Anne Stern of Newport Beach, J. Robin Powell of Downey and Richard S. Powell of Irvine; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
