I miss you so much daddy. you are my whole heart this hearts too much!

It's taken me about four months to have the courage to post a goodbye.  As it has been said,  you are not important because of how long you live, you are important because of how effective you live.  You were effective for the Kingdom of our Savior.  Rest well brother, we got next.

Darryl and his family were so sweet and kind to me growing up. Over the years they made me feel like I was apart of them, I really felt like the sister that lived across the street and I was over their house alllll the time lol. Their mom feed me, I spent the night, went to church with the family. Ms Ann did my hair. Me, Darryl, and Kinah played outside together and it was some of the best time of my childhood. I absolutely love this family and blessed to have been apart of their family.  Rest well big brother, thank you for your kindness. I will forever cherish your memory.💖

Ahchya Chaayah...What a peaceful soul. My favorite kind. A quiet strength. A steady stream of light! He loved his beautiful family. Such a gift to watch! He didnt say much but his works and fruit were very loud! He was so giving and helpful, he gifted my daughter a bed not only did he bring it but he pulled out his tools and put it together too! These are the thoughtful things that lets me know the spirit of Christ resides there. I am so glad my family and his spent this day at the beach together! So grateful to Ahayah for really good men of God! They are rare! I will do all I can always to be there for your family. You will be missed! Rest now my brother, you made it! 

What a upstanding and friendly brother who always had a smile and hello at Shabbat.  He will be missed deeply.  He was always helpful and when I use my generator that he built for me I will always think of him.  He loved his family and it showed.  His beautiful wife and children were a blessing to the congregation . He is at rest in Abraham’s bosom.  Prayers and strength for the family and  that TMH wrap you in His arms and comfort you. 

Darryl "Wakefield" Phillips the 2nd Jr. As I would jokingly call you as your older brother. Mostky I called you Lil Darryl. You were a great brother and I knew from day one you were special and had gifts and were a genius.. I'm going to really miss you and us going camping and fishing and being able to call you when something breaks down. I will forever love you and look forward to seeing you again in Heaven.  You were gone too soon but I just in our Heavenly Fathers Will, Purpose and Plan.  I know you're happy up there with Jesus and the Father.  We will see you again in the future! Rest in Heaven!

I am going to miss Brother Darryl. He was at me and my fiancee’s Brother Freddie baptism on August 9, 2020, who also  passed away on September 18, 2021. Brother Darryl was also our Team Captain for the L.A. area. He was a great person, and a very spirited individual. He was always there for you when needed. He will truly be missed. We will all meet again in the Most High’s wilderness.



Still can't believe this is true. From the first moment I met you, you have been nothing but nice. Thank you for loving my friend, thank you for being a great father, thank you for living in your faith, and thank you for being you. My condolences to my sista, my friend, my prayers are with you. Darryl will be missed. 

What a guy, what a guy...Alllllll the way back to the Minority Engineering Program @ CSUN (1990) until his last day here, what a true friend: Loyal, Honest and Humbled....The pictures only takes a brief snapshot of our memories because I had other phones back then...but I will always remember the college calculus study sessions, the fishing trips, the good ole food you would cook, the Laker games, our birthday celebrations, baby showers, our children birth's, and the meet-ups @ Diana's, or just showing up at each other's houses, up the street from one another to just talk about what was on our mind, and so many other things...I'm gonna miss my very good friend, I'm gonna miss ya. I know you have your Mansion in heaven. Save me a spot up the block, until we meet again homie, rest well "D".

Brother Chayah was a true man of The Most High. I will remember how he was there for me and my family's baptism.  We will miss his reading on Tuesday and Thursday nights.  It is a blessing  to have known brother Chayah and he will truly be missed.

From as soon as my family moved next door, Darryl was like mean big brother that was really secretly  nice and always looking out. My words are not enough to express the shock and grief, but God’s Word is reassuring... “Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”

Sending love and prayers from my family to yours in this difficult time. May the Holy Spirit comfort all the family and friends left to cherish the memory of our dear Lil Darryl -  Beloved son, brother, husband, neighbor, colleague and friend.  He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. 

I remember Darryl as a happy, always smiling co-worker.  He had a great, positive presence in the office.   I can't imagine the loss to his family and can only hope they can find peace in his having lived a good life for his short time on earth.

To my Cousin & his beautiful family, I offer my sincere condolences.  I am heartbroken that his presence has transformed to physical absence yet I rejoice knowing and believing that his presence is with the Most High God and thus is safe. His soft and keen spirit remain a presence  in his family, friends and those who knew him.  His young life gone but will always be a presence now  in memory.

So sorry for your loss my god give you strength. We was in the choir together at my hope church had a very good sprit.

I felt like we were just talking the other day. I will miss our long long long long talks and conversations we use to have. Will always remember you D. May you rest in paradise.

I was in total shock when I seen your brother's post about your passing. We had just talked the week before for about an hour. Everything was just fine which is why I'm in such disbelief.  We have know one another for over 40yrs and you were always a good guy. You were as real as a man could get and I know you were a great father and husband. It's sad that you had to leave us but I know you are in a much better place. Just watch over your family and stay close to them. It's going to be hard without you but I know things always tend to get better as lone as we keep our belief in God. We will always miss you my brotha. Thanks for being a class act as a friend.

Words cannot express how much I am going to miss you brother!Your passing was indeed a shock to my system.  I was told that the Bible says that we are allowed to have favorites so yep you were one of my favorite brothers. From day one you were kind to me. You always greeted me with your beautiful warm smile and a hug.  You were a true example of what a man seeking the most high should be. Always willing to lend a helping hand whenever possible. I am very grateful to have known you and to watch you so diligently care for your family as well as your family in Christ.  One thing you knew about me is that I love to eat. You would say “you want a chicken sandwich?” Or just give me a slice of your amazing tri-tip without me asking! I will take care of Nyeka and the children to the best of my ability and continue to strive for the kingdom so that I can see my Ahch again. Love you always my brother!

Brother Darryl you have the most wonderful spirit. You were and are indeed a light that shined here on earth now shining in Abraham's bosom. That beautiful light also shines through your family and bares witness to the type of man you were. My love and prayers go out to your family. Love you all❤️

I have known Darryl for 40 plus years. We stayed down the street from each other in Gardena on 157th Street. I would never forget that smile. Darryl was a good man and he will be missed. I’m praying for the family and asking God to consulate your broken heart 💔. My love goes out to you all and remember he is in a better place. May God continue to bless you all during this  difficult time and unexpected tragedy 🙏🏾

May The Most High bless your family and have your spirit kept in the Bosom  of Abraham for his kingdom. The few conversations we had were enlightening and uplifting and I pray I see you in heaven Brother Chayah!

Brother Darryl it was great getting to know you and your family through the years at the holy days. May the Most High send a spirit of healing over your family during these times. It was great being able to see you at our last Tabernacles and give you a big hug. Will miss you brother. 

My brother in christ I will surely miss you.  Our great conversations,  competing on the basketball court, your neverending uplifting smile that let you know God was with you.  The fishing stories and taking the time to share about your family.
