Carol Ann Berardelli

Born February 15, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, one of five daughters, to Frank and Mary Reti. Carol Ann married her true love Henry Berardelli in 1947 and lived 55 years of life and love together. He predeceased her in 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Marie Berardelli, her sister Mary Kirley, brother-in-law Brother Dominic Berardelli, FSC, niece and nephews Mary Kay and Michael Dragovich and Ed and Connie Kirley and families. Carol passed away peacefully on December 13, 2013.

Carol was a gentle and caring person, a friend to many, and “adopted” by many as their mother or aunt. She was a loving mother and devoted wife. She was active in the Italian Catholic Federation of St. John Bosco Church in Bellflower and generous with her time and talents. Carol was a terrific cook and hosted many spaghetti dinners for friends and friends of friends who wanted a delicious meal. It was often recommended that she open a restaurant or go into business with her recipes!

Carol was a counselor to so many and always had the time and patience to reach out and assist those in need, even in her later years when she was ill and often in pain. She saw, often before others did, when someone needed comfort and support. She loved her Bingo nights and always enjoyed trips to the slot machines as often as she could! !

We will miss her positive and welcoming spirit and generous love! We thank God for her being a part of so many lives and know that this newest Saint in heaven will look upon us and bless us!
