Paul M. Koziol, age 71, of Naperville, passed away peacefully at his home on November 22, 2019. He was born on May 10, 1948 to Helen nee Gnyla and Mitchell Koziol. Paul spent over three decades dedicating his life to teaching architectural drafting and changing the lives of numerous students in the Chicago Public School System. He dedicated endless hours to his students by participating in the Newhouse Competition at the Chicago Architecture Center.
Paul lived his life to its fullest and enjoyed traveling, construction and doing improvements to his home and spending time with friends and family. Paul is survived by his daughter, Kate (Dave Lindgren) Koziol; sisters, Michele Curio and Karen (Dennis) Hook; brother, Michael (Donna) Koziol; girlfriend, Linda Ardelean and her children, Amanda and Alex. Paul was also very loved by his nephew, Jonathan (Heather) Hook and his nieces, Briana (Kyle) Black, Samantha and Gail Koziol, and Sarah (Klint Christensen) McLeod; great-niece Natalie Christensen and great-nephew Zach Christensen.
Family, friends and others whose lives have been touched by Paul are invited to join in a celebration of his life at the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873, 908 Jackson Ave., Naperville, IL on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 3pm-8pm with a short service beginning at 4:00 pm. As Paul requested, a buffet and drinks will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Paul’s name to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF) which is a 501 (c) 3 organization whose mission is to eradicate mesothelioma as a life-ending disease.
