Carol Jean Murray

Carol Jean Murray (nee Schmidt), age 83, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2018. She was born on March 3, 1934 in Chicago, IL. Carol grew up in Chicago and attended Taft High School. She was a long time resident of West Chicago, where she raised her family with her late husband Ray. Carol loved gardening, reading, bowling, and especially spending time with her family. Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her son, Patrick; sister, Joyce; and her mother and father. Loving mother of Lorri (Jim) Walker, Tim (Carolyn) Murray, Patrick (Michele) Murray, Rae (Jeff) Smith, and Dan (Jean) Murray; Proud grandmother of Katie, Kelly, Carly, Mike, Joe, Brittany, Kaylyn, Ian, Hannah, Josh, Heidi, Jake, Sean, Kelly, and Cullen; Fond great-grandmother of Tristan, Dreyden, Madix, and Mayjer; Dear sister to Ginger, Gloria, and Joyce and fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. A memorial open house will be held at Residence Inn, 28500 Bella Vista Pkwy, Warrenville, IL 60555 on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 1-4 p.m.
