Mr. William Kelly Sims, age 84, of Douglasville, GA passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014. He was born May 4, 1930 in Austell, GA. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country in the Korean War.
Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents, John and Minnie Bourne Sims; and a brother, Rufus G. Sims.
He is survived by sons, William Cory Sims, Stephen Joel Sims and Kenneth Gordon Sims; brother, Walter Sims; grandchildren, Stephanie Shaw, Ryan Sims, Brad Sims, Lindsey Sims, Haley Sims, Zack Sims and Molly Sims; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Atlanta, GA.
