Wendy Wade, age 55, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. She was born on October 21, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Mr. David Earl Wade and Ms. Kaythryn Wade.
A passionate and dedicated athlete, Wendy loved spending time in the water. She was an avid swimmer, and her joy extended to water skiing, where she showcased her skills and competitive spirit. Her love for sports was also evident on the basketball court and as a cheerleader, where she brought energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. She was also a proud participant in the Special Olympics.
But beyond her athletic achievements, Wendy had a love for simple pleasures. One of her greatest joys was watching her favorite shows and movies. She had a special place in her heart for classic shows like The Brady Bunch, Matlock, and Knight Rider, as well as movies such as Herbie and a vast collection of Disney films. These moments brought her immense happiness.
Above all, Wendy cherished her family. Spending time with her loved ones was the highlight of her life, and she shared a deep bond with each member. Her infectious smile, warm heart, and loving nature made her the bright star of every family gathering.
In addition to her mother, Wendy leaves behind to cherish her memory: brothers, Scott and Leah Wade and Randall and Julie Wade; sisters, Laura and Richard Davis and Andrea and Todd Tingen. Additionally, Wendy leaves behind several nieces, and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her father.
