Ms. Virginia “Jenny” Lambert, age 86, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at The Birches of Villa Rica after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Jenny was born on May 12, 1936 in Boaz (Sand Mountain), Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Lee Roy Smith and Nillie Lipham Smith. She was a born-again believer and a member of Central Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia. She enjoyed cooking and baking, hosting holiday gatherings, gardening, and vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountains. Most of all she was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lambert; sister, Fern Dilbeck; stepmother, Elzora Smith; and many additional family and dear friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Amanda Clapp (Michael) and Trina White (Jimmy), both of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Taylor Clapp of Acworth, GA, and Erin White Pulliam (Jeff) of Lockhart, TX; nieces and nephew, Angie Moore, Andrea Brown (E.R.) and Kevin Dilbeck (Robin), all of Boaz, AL; great nieces and nephews and many friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastors Charles Gibbs and Will Sexton officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia.
