Mrs. Sue Lenett Boggs, age 84, of Powder Springs, GA passed away October 23, 2017. She was born September 29, 1933 in Atlanta, GA. Sue retired from AT&T after 20 years. She loved to dance, travel and spend time at the beach. She was very active in her community at Silver Springs, playing cards and enjoying game nights. Sue attended Ringling School of Art and was a very talented artist, having won many awards for her accomplishments, from floral arrangements to her home decorated for Christmas. She also made her wedding dress as well as costumes for holidays and parties. She was one of the original members of the Douglasville Cultural Arts Center and Anna Kanasta Garden Club. Her favorite pastime however, was spending time with her family and friends or any activity that included dancing.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Glenn Wesley Boggs; her parents Robert Schmitt-Lenett and Lottie Adele Lenett; son Jeffery Scott Boggs and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Dianne Boggs.
She is survived by her sons Douglas (Missy) Boggs and Mitchell (Tonya) Boggs; sisters Maridele Lenett (Charles) Boggs and Nancy Margaret Lenett Whiddon; grandchildren Ryan (Dawn) Boggs; Katherine Boggs; Arianna Boggs, Kolbrin Boggs, Julia Boggs and Brooklyn Willard as well as several nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 4 until 7 pm as well as Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 10 until 1 pm. A funeral service will be held at Douglasville First United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow in the Rose Haven Cemetery.
