Shirley A. Edwards

Mrs. Shirley A. Edwards, age 72, of Douglasville, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. She was born on February 21, 1944 in Fort McPherson, East Point, GA. Mrs. Edwards enjoyed her career as an RN and retired with Wellstar Cobb Hospital. She also liked to play Bingo. Her favorite times however, were spending time with her family, most especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Edwards is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Martha Cox as well as her brother, David Cox.

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband William Edwards; sons Mike Edwards and Chris Edwards; sisters Linda Ford and Beverly Cox as well as 8 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 1 until 3 o’clock pm.
