Ruby Doris Brown

Mrs. Doris Brown, age 79, of Carrollton, GA passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015. She was born April 15, 1936 in Rockmart, GA. Mrs. Brown was a housewife and a home maker, and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Brown; her parents, John and Myrtice Jones Harrell; daughter, Rachel Lee Brown; and brother, Jackie Wayne Harrell.

She is survived by daughters, Lynn Cobb of Carrollton, GA, and Angie Smith of Roan Mountain, TN; four brothers, Luther Harrell, John Harrell, Charles Harrell and Frank Harrell; two sisters, Joan Argo and June Jordan; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The funeral service will be Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Mr. Carl Olson giving the funeral discourse. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Argo, Brian Harrell, Jesse Harrell, Frank Tomberlin, Stan Jordan and Michael Wilson. Interment will follow at Douglasville City Cemetery.
