Ronald Watson Griffith Sr.

Ronald Watson Griffith, Sr., age 86, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023. He was born October 26, 1936 in Atlanta, Georgia. Ronald was a Veteran, having proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force, and retired with 20 years service with Georgia Air National Guard. He had a successful career with Chevron, USA and retired with 35 years of service. Ronald was an aviation enthusiast and a private pilot. He flew his first solo flight at age 16. Ronald was a member of the Flint Hill Masonic Lodge #371 and was a Mason and a Shriner.

Preceding him death were his parents, Leslie and Evelyn (Dobbs) Griffith, Sr.; his step-mother, Alline C. Griffith; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy G. and Harold V. Reynolds; brother-in-law, Ted Ivey; and a nephew, Verland Reynolds.

Those left to cherish his memory are son, Ronald Watson Griffith, Jr. (Alyson Swimm); daughter, Deborah G. Denison (Tom); sister, Sandra G. Ivey; two grandchildren, Christopher Windom (Jordan Payne) and Mitchell Windom; and a great-grandchild, Everett John Windom.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A private family graveside is planned.
