Richard Lawrence Taylor

Mr. Richard Lawrence Taylor, age 90, of Villa Rica, GA passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was born February 7, 1927 in Toledo, OH. Mr. Taylor worked as a mechanic with Auto Zone. He was a member of the Douglasville Masonic Lodge for over 70 years. He enjoyed the beach, reading and the mountains. Mr. Taylor served as a deacon at Douglasville Second Baptist Church for many years, and was currently a member of the Douglasville First Church of the Nazarene. He was also a member of the Numismatist Association. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Opal Taylor; his parents, Wesley and Maltilda Campbell Taylor; brothers, Leonard and Lester Taylor; and sisters, Loretta Cook and Rosie Daleska. He is survived by his wife, Karen Taylor; daughters Sharon (Lane) Hilderbrand, Karen (Randy) Parker, Cam Beasley, Lori Seay and Tammy (Travis) Hudson; brother, Raymond Taylor; sisters, Joyce Harper, Pat Pattison, Linda (Roger) Lindhurst and Rosemary Daleska; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 5 until 8 o’clock pm. The funeral service will be Friday, December 1, 2017 at 2 o’clock pm in the Rosehaven Chapel with Ricky Hilderbrand and Marc Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
