Patricia E. Long

Patricia (Pat) Elaine Long, 69, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at her home. Patricia was born in Covington, Georgia. Mrs. Long worked for The Coca Cola Company for 20 years, and after leaving Coke she worked and retired from The Atlanta Braves Organization.

Patricia enjoyed reading books, especially Agatha Christie mysteries. She loved watching Jeopardy, Law & Order, and Wheel of Fortune. Patricia really enjoyed going to visit new neighborhoods. She enjoyed dining out, watching birds, and going to North Georgia into the Great Smoky Mountains.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Eric and Rossie Saxon; six brothers, Covel, Raymond, Ernest, Gary, Dan and Marion Saxon; and two sisters: Clydene Owens and Martha Williams.

Pat is survived by her husband, James R. Long; Son, Adam R. Long; daughter, Tracey Long Wendel; two grandchildren Isabel S. Wendel and Chase M. Wendel; and sisters Ann Smith and Carol Cash; as well with many nieces and nephews, friends and family.

Visitation for Mrs. Patricia E. Long will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015 in the chapel of Whitley-Garner with Rev. Richard B. Long officiating.
