Mrs. Patricia Hollister, age 93, of Douglasville, GA, passed away December 23, 2016. She was born March 17, 1923 in Clifton, NJ to the late Henry and Elfreda Neuner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Hollister; brother, Paul Neuner; and sister, Alice Kohler.
Mrs. Hollister was an Administrative Assistant with Marconi Electronics, Inc. She loved gardening, dogs and birds, crocheting, sewing, oil painting, skiing, ice skating, and decorating. She also loved beach, sunbathing, shell hunting, and walking at the water’s edge. She volunteered at Tanner Medical Center, sewing dolls and pillows. She was chairperson of the Girl Scouts of America in Old Tappan, NJ.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and JoAnne Hollister; daughters and son-in-law, Lynne H. Slim and Kathleen Ruffino-Dearden and Jeffrey Dearden; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home in Douglasville, GA between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 PM from on Monday, December 26, 2016.
Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
