Odis Williams, was born May 20th 1938 to the late Mrs. Margaret Cegers Williams and Mr. Percy Williams, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Odis confessed Christ at an early age. He was baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
On October 20, 1988, Odis discovered a true love and made her his loving wife, Mary E. Williams. Odis and Mary shared 33 wonderful years of loving each other, affectionately renaming her “Baby”. Traveling the world living in Germany, Japan, France, Korea, and numerous countries outside of the United States. As well as several locations within the States.
Odis was a Retired Vietnam War Veteran who served his Country proudly. He gained new Family through-out his many travels and he never met a stranger. Odis had a strong love for his Family and always wanted the best for each of them.
On Monday, August 1, 2022, after a long illness, God gave Odis the rest he requested in his last days of being tired. God called Odis to travel with him requesting his presence and Odis accepted. He had already prepared everything he needed to accept his new assignment to travel with Our Heavenly Father.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Mary E. Williams; two daughters, Kellie J. (Kevin) Williams of Jackson, NJ and Trina (Tony) Riley of Durant, MS; two sons, Bernard (Tonya) Williams of McGregor, TX and Odell R. Williams of Milwaukee, WI; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gee Gee J. (Alfred) Gillespie-Simmons Milwaukee, WI, and Barbara Mabra Williams of Pine Bluff, AR; aunt, Dora M. Robinson of Milwaukee, WI; uncle, George Cegers of Chicago, IL; his dear mother-in-law, Emma Lee Yates of Memphis, TN; he shared a special bond with nephew, Andreas Williams, as a younger brother; a host of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends to mourn his Home Going.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father and sister, Ethel J. Williams.
