Ms. Nellie Mae Cook, age 76, of Buchanan, GA passed away Friday, February 22, 2019. She was born May 16, 1942 in Atlanta, GA. She was an avid artist, specializing in ceramics and owned her own shop called Mi-Nel’s. She then began her career as a tax advisor and owned and operated her business, Tax Manager, for more than 30 years. She was the matriarch of her family and loved spending time with each of them.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph H. Cook; parents, James and Hazel Kile; and her brothers Richard and James Kile. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Prince Adams (Kent); brother, Bobby Kile; sisters, Frances Harper, Irene Coleman, Margaret Kile, and Mary Jane Garner; grandchildren, Jeremiah Kyle Prince, Mitchell Kent Prince (Mary), Heather Elace Adams, and Eric Chase Adams; and great-grandchildren, Lydia Joslyn Prince, Kylie Grace Prince, Bryson Alexander Dungan; as well as numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Services will be held at Rosehaven Chapel on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM with JT Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, GA.
