Nancy F. Torbett

Mrs. Nancy Fincher Torbett, age 73, of Lithia Springs, GA passed away Friday, July 18, 2014. She was born March 28, 1941 in Coweta County, GA. She and her family built a home and moved to Lithia Springs in 1967. Mrs. Torbett was a homemaker and a ‘stay-at-home Mom’ for many years. After raising her children, she became a bookkeeper for Vié de France Bakery retiring after 15 years due to her health. She enjoyed reading and sewing, and was Baptist by Faith.

Mrs. Torbett was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Russell Fincher; and a brother, John Thomas Fincher.

She is survived by her husband, JR Torbett of Lithia Springs, GA; daughters, Susan McDoniel and husband Randy, and Carol Kendrick and husband Ramon, both of Douglasville, GA; granddaughter, Alicia Kendrick; grandson, Chris McDoniel; granddaughter, Rachel McDoniel; and a sister, Mary Ruth Tylisz of Michigan City, IN.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Charles Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
