Mrs. Mary Frances Hawkins, age 93, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was born in Albany, Georgia, on February 18, 1929 to the late Obe and Johnnie Maude Kincaid. Her sharp mind assisted her through her working life as a skip tracer and clerical work for the City of Cumming before settling into her role as a homemaker.
Frances was very loving and welcoming, witty, and loved animals. She always had dogs throughout her life. In her youth, she loved to dance and took lessons until her early teenage years. She enjoyed the Christmas Holiday – the music, The Nutcracker, and being with family were her favorite things about the season. An avid shopper, you could find her most anywhere finding a good deal or purchasing something that caught her eye. She will be so missed by her loving family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Wynn Hawkins.
She is survived by her only son, Ron Hawkins and daughter-in-love, Sandra; her granddaughters, Julie Lovvorn (Chris) and Amy Hendricks (Ryan); and great-grandchildren, Bradon Thompson, Bailey Thompson, Christopher Lovvorn, Jr., Cassidy Hendricks, and Carter Hendricks.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Marietta City Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
