John Daniel

John Paul is survived by his wife Jane, and children Mark (Michelle), Steve (Shana), Samantha, and Brian (Leigh Ann). He leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Joseph (Kristin), Tony, Diana, Paul (Mary), Annie and Luke. He was also the proud great grandfather of 11, Sofia, Jackman, Bella, Ricardo, Maricela, Nayeli, Cesar, Veronica, Braden, June and Adeline.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Annie Daniel, sister Ann (Jack) and grandson John Martin.

John Paul often said, “growing up in Camp Hill, Alabama was the best life”. He graduated with degrees from Auburn University, Vanderbilt University and The University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1961, the youngest in his graduating class at the age of 23. His multifaceted dental career included private practice; clinical staff at Bryce Hospital in Tuscaloosa; Director of Development at Dekalb College; the establishment of dental hygiene programs at Dekalb College and Carroll Tech in Douglasville in 1995. He also served as State Dental Director in the states of Alabama and South Carolina, Proctor and Gamble research studies, retiring in his 70’s from service with the Juvenile Justice System of Georgia.
