He was born in Douglasville, Georgia, on July 10, 1943, the son of the late Mr. Claude Tidwell and Mrs. Emma Mae Brown Tidwell.
Harold had a deep passion for working on cars and was an avid fan of NASCAR and dirt track racing. He spent countless hours tinkering with engines and watching races, always sharing his love for the sport with those around him. While Harold wasn’t a man of many words, he showed his care through his actions. He was always there for friends and family, offering help whenever it was needed. Harold especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories with them. He also enjoyed fishing, finding peace and joy in the quiet moments spent by the water. Harold's kindness, hard work, and love for his family will always be remembered.
In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his 9 siblings.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Steven Tidwell, Louise Tucker, and Kathy Vinyard; his brothers, Horace Tidwell and Donald Tidwell; sister Sue Solesbee; grandchildren, Matthew, Cody, Taylor, Elaina, and Jayda; and 7 great-grandchildren.
