Mrs. Geraldine Kerr

Mrs. Geraldine ‘Jerry’ Kerr, age 89, of Douglasville, GA passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014. She was born on December 11, 1924 in Douglasville, GA. Mrs. Kerr retired from Fulton County Probate Court as a court clerk. She traveled extensively and was very active in many community organizations. Mrs. Kerr was a member of the ‘Keenagers’ and the Recycle Club. She was a member of Pray’s Mill Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member of the Gleaners Sunday School class.

Mrs. Kerr was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Kerr; her parents, Steven and Minnie Aderhold Stovall; three brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by daughters, Becky Marin and husband Ralph of Cape Coral, FL, and Cindy Kerr-Kelley of Jonesboro, GA; grandsons, Patrick Alexander of Austin, TX, Travis Kelley and wife Erin of Mableton, GA; Austin Kelley of Jonesboro, GA; numerous nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and many friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Josh Buice officiating. Interment will follow at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church Cemetery.
