Gary Dell Beardsley

Mr. Gary Dell Beardsley, age 82, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Mr. Beardsley was born January 19, 1936 in Tacoma, Washington. He was a Veteran, having served his country in the U. S. Navy. He was a resident of Ventura, California for 57 years, and Fillmore, California prior to moving to Carrollton. He was an Industrial Specialist at Port Hueneme CB Base for 15 years. In 2000, he retired with 31 years of service as a Technical Writer with Raytheon Service Company. He was an avid golfer, and started the AYSO (Youth Soccer) Region 148 in Oxnard, California. Mr. Beardsley was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Carrollton, Georgia, and was a former member of the Faith Community Church in Fillmore, California.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy M. Beardsley; and brothers, Robert Beardsley and Kenneth Beardsley.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 33½ years, Pamala Beardsley; son, Craig Beardsley of Seattle, Washington; daughter, Stacy Handley of Denver, North Carolina; stepsons and spouses, Bryan Tarpley, San Diego, California, Scott Tarpley and wife Joann of Carrollton, Georgia, Eric Tarpley and wife Carrie of Carrollton, Georgia; brothers, Gene Beardsley and wife Peggy of Vancouver, Washington, Dennis Beardsley and wife Adele of Ventura, California; grandchildren, Katie Petersen, Christian Tarpley and Austin Tarpley, all of Temecula, California, Sierra Handley, San Diego, California, Spencer Handley, San Francisco, Megan Morgan and Jordan Tarpley of Carrollton, Georgia, Allyson and Erin Tarpley of Carrollton, Georgia, Colt and Grace Beardsley of Everett, Washington; as well as numerous other family and friends.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church in Carrollton, Georgia.
