I wish I knew some words of comfort to share, but I don't think there are any words that are going to truly provide any comfort after the loss of a loved one. I just know that Evelyn was a beautiful and wonderful person, and a great mom. I loved that she always did things her way, and never let anyone tell her otherwise. Even though I wasn't one of her children, she always treated me like part of the family, and she always had a hug for me.
I'm glad that I got one last hug from her before we lost her, and I will miss her very much.

This world truly lost a wonderful person. I was fortunate enough to be able to call Evelyn my friend for over 25 years. No we didn't talk daily or even weekly but she was always in my thoughts. I went to work at GATX all those years ago and Evelyn was my boss. I remember lots of great memories with her, Boaz trips with a group of us, lunches together, lock in weekends during hurricane season. I remember a lot of stories she would share with us, but I think my all time favorite was the head of lettuce that she discovered exploded into thousands of little pieces if you slammed it down on the floor in anger. God how I will miss her. My prayers are with her family, Tom, Summer, Paul and John and everyone that she touched with her presences.  I pray for strength and healing.
