Dwight James Cowan

Mr. Dwight James Cowan, age 46, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018. He was born May 20, 1971 in Austell, GA. Mr. Cowan graduated from Alexander High School with the class of 1990. He was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America program. Dwight enjoyed mountain biking, hiking and camping. He was an avid gamer and liked working on cars. He was also a member at Prays Mill Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death is his paternal grandparents, Jake and Geneva Cowan as well as his maternal grandparents, John and Martha Carnell.

He is survived by his father, Jim (Shara) Cowan; mother Elaine Cowan; brother Brian Cowan; sister Cheryl (Doug) Isbill; nephews Nathan Isbill and Andrew Isbill as well as numerous other friends and family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 9 o’clock am until 11 o’clock am. A funeral service will follow at 11 o’clock am in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Josh Buice officiating. Interment will take place at Prays Mill Baptist Church.
