Dorothy Lynn Holton, 63 years young, was born on July 14, 1955. She was called to Heaven July 13, 2018. She passed in her home in Pensacola, Florida, surrounded with our hearts heavy and souls broken. We rallied around her as she left us. Her valiant fight started with breast cancer and in six months moved to her stomach, bones and pancreas. To the end, she was worrying about all of us, trying to smile through her pain, her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and with love and prayers of family, friends and even strangers overhearing our conversation, carried her through a couple more months here with us. She was told to stay positive and my Mom did, with every appointment, only her health deteriorated faster was the news she had. Still…she stayed positive, throughout her battle with cancer. She reached out to each one of us, with love and smiling through her pain.
Surrounded by so much love, her husband, Richard Holton, holding one hand and her baby sis and best friend on the other, her daughters Kimberly, Anna and Mandy and niece Brandy. Also, one of her favorite persons, Lisa Mote, was by her side.
Lynn’s purpose in life was to be Grandma. So, last but not least, grandbabies Emily Popham and Cadence and Cody Bear House, were there for her transition. Comforted by her son Joe singing to her and hearing his voice, brought her peace, along with her nephew Eric saying I love you. Both brought a smile to her.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel.
