Mr. Deshawn “Shawn” Ryan Moyo, age 24, of Douglasville, Georgia transitioned into his Heavenly home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 25, 1997 to Erasmus Moyo and Gloria Smart. Deshawn was a fantastic young man that did not take things at face value. He was always researching and making sure he understood what was being told to him. He enjoyed learning new things. Deshawn was a highly talented investor, trading Crypto often.
In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games, reading, weight lifting, and watching comedy shows and movies. Family meant everything to him and he adored spending time with his loved ones. A great big brother, he was always there to give his little siblings advice. He was the strongest man you would ever meet. Deshawn was known for his enormous heart and listening ear. He would always tell you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. Though he left this world far too soon, he left it a better place.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Ephias and Esther Moyo; maternal grandparents, Lennore and James H. Grant; aunts and uncles from his father's side, Fastiel, Lemuel, Frida, Eileen, and Cecilia; and uncles from his mother's side, Anthony, Darrington, Errol, Nixroy, and Fitzroy.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Erasmus Moyo and Gloria Smart who love him more than words can express; his step-mother, Edilide Moyo; his brother and sister, Elijah and Eileen; aunts and uncles, Godwin (Jane), Godfrey (Constance), Kurai, and Donna; and numerous cousins, other loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow in the Rosehaven Chapel at 11:00 am. An entombment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
