Dennis Alexander Howard

Mr. Dennis A. Howard, age 76, of Douglasville, GA., died on Sunday morning at Tranquility of Cobb in Austell. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Howard was born on November 21, 1938, the son of the late Clarence Dewey and Jean Crawford Goodwin Howard. He lived most of his life in Douglasville and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynnette Lumby and grandson, Michael Dennis Lumby II. Survivors include his beloved wife, Rosalinde Howard. Two sons; Michael Dennis Lumby, and Bobby Lumby.Two daughters; Pamela Jennings, and Lori Lumby-Nicks. Three step-sons; Marcus, Michael Gierschner and David Grothaus. One step-daughter; Kathy Grothaus. One brother, Thomas Howard. Sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one God-grandson along with a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Howard will be conducted on Friday November 6, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the Rosehaven Chapel of the Whitley-Garner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
