It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Clifton "Cliff" Allen Brewer, a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, on March 14, 2025. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 15, 1959. Cliff was a self-made man who embraced life with an unwavering passion for family, faith, and the outdoors.
An avid outdoorsman, Cliff found joy in the simple pleasures of hunting, sport fishing, caring for his immaculate lawn and gardening, hobbies that brought him closer to nature and filled his life with peace. He also had a special love for car shows, where he shared his enthusiasm for classic vehicles, street rods, and vintage goods with others. He loved traveling, riding his Harley and spending time with friends. Cliff’s zest for life and ability to make every moment fun left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Cliff was the proud owner and operator of Fairburn Road Shell/Chevron for 18 years, and later, Douglas County Autocare for 12 years. His dedication to his business and customers was evident in the relationships he built, and his hard work and determination were a testament to his character. Cliff’s work ethic, combined with his generous heart, made him a beloved member of the community.
A man of deep faith, Cliff was an active member of One Church in Buchanan, Georgia, where he attended services regularly and lived his life by the teachings of the Lord. His faith guided him in all things, and his love for his family was his greatest strength. Cliff was proud of his salvation and made sure to tell many people about the excitement he felt about moving on to his Heavenly home with Jesus.
Cliff is survived by his cherished family, who he loved more than anything, and will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to them. These include his wife of 46 years Teresa Stephens Brewer, his daughters Mandi Brewer Hilton (Brett) and Stacy Brewer McLarty (Bryan), his grandchildren Maddalyn and Emily Hilton and Ember and Ryla McLarty, as well as his sisters Terri Barton and Geri Childress, and half-brother Barry Carden. Cliff was preceded in death by his father Billy Clifton Brewer, mother Mary Frances Carden, step-father Sam Carden, and step-brother Michael Carden.
Visitation will be held from 4pm until 8pm on Friday March 21, 2025 with a celebration of Cliff’s life on March 22, 2025 at 4pm. The family invites close friends and relatives to stay for fellowship after the service. All of these will take place at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven located at 8640 Rose Avenue in Douglasville.
