Cecil and I were in 2/9 together in Vietnam. We were good friends as southerners tend to be and got back in touch with each other about 15 years ago through the 2/9 network. We usually talked on Marine Corps birthdays, Veterans and Memorial days. I realized I hadn’t heard from him on the last few and tried to text him today with no luck so I decided to google him only to confirm my gut feeling that he was no longer with us. I’m sorry I didn’t know earlier and felt I should send my delayed condolences. I will report his loss to the 2/9 network. I know you miss him and I will too.
