Cheryl Renee Turner, age 73, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022. Cheryl was born July 26, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia. Family had always been an important part of Cheryl’s life. She was from a big family being one of eight children. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved the fact that she had twin sons, even though the doctor told her she was not having twins! She certainly surprised the doctor when she delivered 2 full term, 7 lb babies!! Cheryl enjoyed cooking and especially liked preparing the Christmas Eve dinner with her family every year. Cheryl was a dog and cat lover and always had animals in her home. She loved to watch the baseball games and was an avid Braves fan. She enjoyed trips to the mountains to view the scenery, especially during Fall. Cheryl loved to paint, be it pictures of birds or animals, a portrait of her mother and even painted a mural on her kitchen wall. She also enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and just being out in her yard. She had a great love for antiques & at one time was the owner of an antique store.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 55 years, John Richard Turner, two sons, Keith (Kelly) Turner and Rodney Turner; brother, Ronald Jackson; two sisters, Barbara Brooks and Connie (Greg) Land; two grandchildren, Carson Turner and Camden Turner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loved ones, family and friends.
