Mr. Charles Noland Pittman, age 73, of Douglasville, GA passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014. He was born June 24, 1941 in Austell, GA. Mr. Pittman was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the National Guard. He was the owner and operator of Eagle Staffing Services providing temporary staffing needs for over 20 years. He also owned his own car lot and sold used cars. In his later years, he sold caskets in the metro Atlanta area, as far south as Opelika, Alabama and as far north as the Georgia Mountains. He was a member of Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church for over 20 years. Mr. Pittman was an awesome father and husband, grandfather and father-in-law. He was willing to help anyone and was always positive. He always had a great sense of humor. In his spare time, he was an avid fisherman and wood carver.
Mr. Pittman was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alta Faye McCurdy Pittman; and a step-daughter, Regina Reeves.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Angela Pittman; daughter, Lisa Dance and husband Tommy; step-son, Jesse Songstad; step-daughters, Michelle Chapman, and Mandy Castle and husband Gary; brother, Eddie Pittman; sister, Linda Ellison; grandchildren, Morgan Dance, Reagan Dance, Mariah Chapman, Austin Chapman, Shelby Songstad and Logan Castle.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Monday, August 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Dr. Kevin Maples officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
