Bobbie Smiley Farrell

Mrs. Barbara Farrell, age 74, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019. She was born August 29, 1944 in Waynesboro, Mississippi. She loved her family, the beach and the ocean. An artist, she enjoyed painting and drawing. She loved animals and especially liked to feed birds. She had many bird feeders and bird houses. A long-time member of Bright Star United Methodist Church, she was very active in the women’s ministry.

Mrs. Farrell was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Samuel L. Farrell; a daughter, Anita Farrell; her parents, William John and Dorothy (Williamson) Smiley; and a brother, James William Smiley.

She is survived by a daughter, Pamela (Keith) Hill; a sister, Patricia (Jimmy) Farrell; grandson, Jeremy (Stephanie) Hill; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other loved ones and friends.

Services are planned for a later date.
