Mr. Bill Coker, age 74, of Carrollton, GA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his home after an extended battle with lung cancer. He was born November 10, 1942 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late William Edward and Elsie Buryl Hamilton Coker. Mr. Coker was a Veteran, having served his country in the United States Air Force. Bill retired as a driver from UPS, he never met a stranger, he could repair anything, and he loved helping others. He loved his family and was so proud of his children and his grandchildren. He loved fishing, his dogs (especially Sam), and his cat, Sweet Tea. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diane of Carrollton, daughters and sons-in-law, Misty Gail and Kelby Watts of Villa Rica, GA, and Dione and Rob Young of Villa Rica, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Sherree Coker of Watkinsville, GA; son, Brian Combs of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Billie Joyce Williams and Babe Taunton of Attalla, AL; grandchildren, Addison Young, Braxton Young, Lauren Coker, Lindsey Watts and Jonathan Watts; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Michael Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
