Miss. Betty Lou Norman, age 89, of Blountstown, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on September 13, 1933 to the late Alvah and Minnie Norman. In 1974, she moved to Douglas County where she lived most of her life before moving to Florida with her daughter and son-in-law. Miss. Betty joined Ebenezer Baptist Church on Highway 166 in March of 1996 and immensely enjoyed attending service. She worked as a nurse primarily for many years and eventually took part time jobs at various thrift stores around Douglasville. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to Native American Pow-Wows on the weekends, watching soap operas and true crime shows, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughters, Rhonda Eason and Lorelai Keenan.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Deborah Farrell (Michael) and Dedria VonDemmel (Jim); son-in-law, Randall Eason; grandchildren, Allyson Hoffman (Billy), Amanda Tripodi, Shawn Tripodi (Shannon), Gerry Stone (Tracy), and Amy Keenan-Deaton (Max); and great-grandchildren, Theron Richardson, III, Kingsley Stone, Rolincio Davis, and Tristan Davis.
The family will have a graveside service on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Greenwood Cemetery, 1173 Cascade Road Atlanta, GA 30311.
