Betty Davison Hill

Betty Davison Hill, age 82, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021. A native of Douglas County, Betty was born April 18, 1938 in Douglasville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved spending time with her family. She worked in banking for 20 years and then started her own business where she became the “Boss Lady”. She enjoyed traveling for work and loved to take mini vacations with her family, especially traveling to Florida and to Missouri. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, as well as watching birds and deer. She loved cats and had “Mama Cat”, “Little Girl Cat” and “Socks”.

Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Herbert Leon Hill; her parents, Thomas and Eula (Baker) Davison; and a brother, Thomas Ralph Davison.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Linda Thurman (Jack Merriman) of Douglasville, Georgia, Rebecca Woodard (David) of Douglasville, Georgia, and Carol Miller (Tommy) of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Barbara) Hill and Allen (Clara) Hill; six grandchildren, Amy Cardwell (Russell), Brent Thurman, Brandi (Matthew) Crane, Brad Miller, Daysha (Devlin) Howe, Samantha (Cory) Austin; and nine great-grandchildren, Mason, Isabel, Sawyer, Bear, Avery, Anna, Devlin, Jr., Dominic and Dailynn.

In accordance with her wishes, Betty was cremated and will be inurned at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The graveside service is planned for Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
