Sidney Robert King

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Louise Boylan King of Tuscaloosa, AL., his four children, Rob King (Mary) of McKinney, TX, Kirk King (Luanne)of Colleyville, TX, Vicki King Howell (Julian) of Selma, AL and Judith King of Dothan, AL., five grandchildren, Laura King, Allison King, Garrett King, Mason King and Meredith King.

He was a graduate of The McCallie School and The University of Alabama where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He worked in the healthcare industry for over forty years serving in executive leadership positions at the University of Alabama Medical School, Alabama Medical Review and the Texas Medical Foundation. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dothan, AL where he was active in the Methodist Men’s Club and Pathfinders – who will serve as honorary pallbearers.

There will be a memorial service at the First United Methodist Church, Dothan, AL 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 preceded by visitation at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers it was Bob’s wish that donations be made to In Christ Name at First United Methodist Church or your charity of choice.
