Rose Hancock

Rose Marie Hancock, age 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, October 5, 2021 while surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Dale Hancock; parents James and Gladys Dever; and brothers Bob Dever and Billy Dever. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Linda Hancock, Robin (Doris) Bowen, April (Terry) McFail, Toni (Craig) Baier, Fran (Dave) Hupp, Lora Hancock; 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; siblings Jim (Dorothy) Dever, Connie (David) Hupp, Carol Dever, Mary Dever; and many extended relatives and friends.

Rose was a lifetime resident of Dorr, Michigan. She was involved in many organizations including Project Hope in Dorr and Epiphany Lutheran Church, where she was a devoted member. In her 50’s she returned to Wayland Union Schools and earned her high school diploma, of which she was very proud. She was also employed by and retired from Wayland Schools as a custodian. Whenever she could, she loved spending time with her family - especially her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and crocheting. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Dorr Chapel, 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI 49323. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2021 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 4219 Park Ln, Dorr, MI 49323. Rose will be laid to rest at Dorr Cemetery.
